its kinda hard to decide where I'd like to begin but here goes. The reason we hate Mario parody sprite flash and the like is because it is grossly over rated. Most of it is ok, hell some of it is really good but if you ask any flash artist who actually puts time and energy into thier movies AND who stays away from the easy path to high scores (video game based animation) they will all agree that it is fucking hard to get daily awards, the front page, and to generally avoid obscurity if they try to stay original. Weeks of hard work wasted. If you pay careful attention you'll notice that a flash can be significantly inferior in art, animation, humor, and visible effort than other flash and yet still get a vastly higher score because it has Mario or Solid Snake or it is part of a long running series. rtil made a movie which is probably truly one of the top 5 movies ever submitted (watch this thing yourself, you'll agree) but where is it on the top submissions list? Its buried under SMBZ and the Awesome Series and other video game based stuff as are alot of flashes that are much MUCH better animated. Fucking go to the second or third page of the top submissions page and compare it with the first to see what I'm talking about. Hell the newest Foamy movie was put on the front page of the site before it even passed judgement. They could have at least waited until after it got its daily 3rd before putting it up there instead of demonstarting thier complete willingness to bend over backwards for someone who doesn't give enough of a shit about Newgrounds to even vote on his own submissions. They do this because he has hordes upon hordes of underage faggots who love absolutely everything he does. Foamy is ignorant racist trash that isn't even well animated, its like spam flash with invader zim esque artwork and equal intelligence and laziness yet look at the scores. This leads me to my next whatever:

you talked about what the majority of the Newgrounds userbase likes. The majority of the Newgrounds userbase is shit. Fanboyism is rampant most users just find one series or two they like and just whore over it regardless of actual quality. They vote based on whether a submission is about thier favorite video game series not whether or not it is actually good. The magority of the Newgrounds userbase needs thier flash dumbed down to the level of humor seen in the parody flash or else they get mad. How many 0 star reviews have you seen that say "I don't get it". There are also statwhores all over who only care about the fancy new pip that comes with a new level or thier blam and protect numbers not realizing that it is all just pictures and symbols on an internet site. the majority of the newgrounds userbase are underaged videogame fanboys who are dumb as hell and hate anything that doesn't have sprites or zombies in it and who have never opened up macromedia and tried to make a flash movie in thier life. Call me crazy but I don't give a fuck about what people like that think. I'd rather have 3 positive reviews from guys like Zekeyspacelizard or Grumio or Lenkobiscut and the rest negative then a million 10 star reviews from flashless fanboys and those 3 the only negatives, but call me crazy. You also hounded us for poor grammer usage. I find this hilarious, you obviously haven't read the reviews we get from the newgrounds majority. I can guarantee you it is much, much worse.

as for your next paragraph your right that everything is derivative to some extent but some things are more original than others. The parodys use jokes that have been done to death and involve charecters that they did not create. If you like parody flash then that's fine but picture what it'd be like for you if our spam was all over the front page and top submissions every single day. if a million fanboys voted flash of inferior quality over a better quality video game parody because the inferior flash had mozz in it. This is our reality. This is the reality of people who make quality hand drawn animation, so before your rail about how quality and originality destroy your good time then keep in mind that there are people who are surronded by flash they hate and they can clearly see that originality is not as respected as it should be, hell being derivative is actually very strongly encouraged! You'll forgive us if we sometimes decide to point this out.

Now to the few final points. Tom and Wade do run this site and they can do whatever they want with it. They could shut it down right now if they wanted or they could just up and put all of my flash on the front page and leave it there forever, but consider this: Tom and Wade wouldn't make one red cent without the newgrounds userbase. You see those ads? They mean that by logging on to the site every day and submitting the movies we make in our own free time to this site at no direct cost to the Fulps we make Newgrounds money. If every user just up and left than Tom and Wade would no longer to support themselves and thier families by doing what they love and they would have to get normal jobs. You might say that this justifies anti spam campaigns and shit like front paging Foamy before it passes to please the millions of flashes faggots who only log on to comment on the newest foamy movie but I would counter argue that it is the people who submit movies that are most important because if we didn't spend our free time doing this then Newgrounds would be reduced to the niche site it was before the flash portal. Therefore what the artists want is the most important and the majority of Newgrounds flash artists hate foamy, hate parodies, and want to see more hand drawn original flashes of quality and humor. As for us crying over Wade's actions...Wade and a few other staff emmbers have this little black list of people that they don't care for and these people are held to a double standard than the rest of the NG users. Strange and unfair staff action is common among these members. We don't think its fair, we don't like it, and we have a right to complain about it. I'd like to see you fall victim to some of the bans and other actions I have heard about and be cheerful about it. Wade can do whatever he wants to whoever he wants on this site but that does not mean that he should and that does not meant that everyone will like everything he does. His job is not an easy one but he does sometimes act unfairly, and Wade is a big boy you know, he wouldn't be doing this job if he was really bothered by the hate of a few teenagers.

the reason that we don't just leave and make our own site is because (most of us) despite all of this, still really like Newgrounds and want it to be a fun place. We act this way because we care about this site and don't agree with the direction its headed not because want to destroy or ruin it. Also like you said, you've been here three weeks. Most spammers have been here for years. The more time you spend here the more you'll learn about the site and its people, maybe that will make you change your mind and maybe it won't but keep in mind that there is alot of truth in what we say and it comes from experience and knowledge of the site, most of us are on Newgrounds for hours everyday. if you actually read this entire thing then thank you. Also holy crap I can;t believe you read the whole thing!

and by the way that was in response to a huge anti spam newspost I found, I also added an extra thing saying that the short version is that we do it for fun and to show that ultimately the site shouldn't be taken so seriously but for some reason the guy deleted that part

the guy who made the post saw the logic behind most of my text wall and basically seems like he understands "spammers" a little better so I'd say the time I spent writing it was worth it
